To understand the importance of this policy let's understand some points of this.
- According to New Education Policy 2020, 10+2 system will end in India. New system will be 5+3+3+4. First five years group will be name as foundation level including Nursery, KG, First and Second class. Next 3 years group will be set as primary level. Class 6th to 8th and then 9th to 12th (Secondary Level). It means that 10th board also will end.
- Syllabus will be decrease in every course so that student easily understand concept instead of rote.
- 3.5 crore seat will be add in degree courses. So that students can choose course of their interest.
- New courses will be add and old and unpopular will be close.
- Foundation and Primary level students will learn in their mother tongue or local language. According to govt no language will be imposed on anyone.
Most of the good things add in this policy but their are some issues. Why the education till graduation can't be free? When will govt give poor students chance to equal education? and the big question that was in trend on social media is "Will this Education Policy privatise education system?".
According to government, a new regulatory will be open in place of UGC and NCTE. Total education system will be integrated in that regulatory. But will this regulator be governed by the government? This is a big question.
